Wazdan
These days, there are so many online casino software providers out there that it can be difficult to keep track of them all. It’s even possible to overlook a company for years, even when they offer a great range of games and a powerful platform for operators to base their casinos on. There are countless examples of companies that fit this profile, but the one we’re talking about here is Wazdan. Based out of Cyprus, this company has been creating games and software for the iGaming industry since about 2012, having built up an impressive library of slots and table games, among other options. While they might not be the biggest name in the industry, their products are certainly worthy of attention, and we imagine more players will be coming into contact with these titles in the years to come.

WMG
While most players are primarily familiar with the many online casino software developers that are active in many jurisdictions around the world, many countries and areas that have regulated iGaming industries also have providers that are specific to those markets. These providers are specialists who have the ability to cater their products specifically for clients and players in those jurisdictions, ensuring that their games match the language, culture and other expectations in that region. Italy is one of the markets that sees the most localization, with many Italian companies focusing solely on their home country. WMG is a perfect example of this. Formed in 2009, the group actually has roots that date back to 1982, as the supplier is actually the result of efforts from two existing Italian firms: MAG Elettronica and CMS Gaming, both of whom had been working on entertainment and gambling machines at home and abroad for decades. The formation of WMG was originally designed to break into the video lottery terminal (VLT) business. Today, the company not only produces VLT games, but they manufacture the cabinets and the underlying systems themselves. More recently, they’ve moved into the online gambling sphere through a platform known as WMGear. While the studio has only developed a handful of titles for online casinos – some of which were ported over from their VLT creations – they are hoping to leverage their success and reputation in other gaming sectors to make a mark on the Italian iGaming industry as well.

WMS (Williams Interactive)
WMS Industries dates back several decades, all the way to the 1940s. They were involved in the pinball industry back then and have continued to be involved in some form of gaming ever since. The company developed several popular video games during the 1980s and 1990s and recently formed Williams Interactive as a subsidiary to focus on online gambling games. When it comes to casino games, we all have our favourites among the elder statesmen. For many online players, Microgaming is the eldest of all, having launched their first online casino platform in 1994. However, those two decades of experience simply pale into comparison when you take a look at Williams Interactive (WMS Gaming), which has been around since 1943. Naturally, their online games are a far more recent addition but the company had a head start when entering the online space thanks to the goodwill that they had already built up in the land based industry. They provide some of the most popular land based slots throughout their native US and the rest of the world and are known for quality across everything that they do. Like IGT, they focused on Europe as part of their online expansion with their domestic market not allowing online play and since 2010 the company has adapted from land casinos to online ones like a fish to water. Speaking of which, check out the following big names if you want to see the WMS experience for yourself. Otherwise, read on for all of the high points of the manufacturer turned online developer.
